For this reason, PN Industries is proud to have successfully contributed to the development of several initiatives that promote the development of scientific knowledge and projects that will make the greatest possible impact on communities and the environment around the globe. Below is a list of a few projects we contributed towards.

1. Purpose-built, highly sensitive temperature-controlled reptile enclosure for PhD Candidate Paul James’ research on the biochemical modification of snake venom when subjected to ecological stressors.

We are proud to have worked closely with PhD Candidate Paul James, from the James Cook University, on the development of a highly sensitive temperature-controlled reptile enclosure to assist James in his PhD project titled – “Adaptive Venom Plasticity in Australian Elapids”.

James is researching 5 species of Australian venomous snakes to determine whether certain species are capable of modifying their venom biochemistry when subjected to ecological stressors such as changes in climate, diet, habit and predator exposure.

These changes may have important clinical implications for snakebite treatment. PN Industries has created a purpose-built reptile enclosure capable of maintaining a constant temperature with no more than 1 degree Celsius in variation.

2. Purpose-built animal enclosures for Reptile Encounters: A K12 specialised Mobile Zoo.

Reptile Encounters is a mobile Zoo specialised in educational programs for the K-12 market, offering entertaining and educational wildlife incursions that not only excite but inspire students and teachers to reconnect with the world around them.

They offer Zookeeper experience, wildlife ranger experience, life skills, participation, advocacy and confidence and lifelong learning. They aim to educate children and young boys on the importance of conservation and sustainability to help preserve our diverse ecosystem.

They travel around offering hands-on animal and reptile encounters specifically for educational purposes. We, at PN Industries, have worked closely with Reptile Encounters to design and develop several animal enclosures for the safe transport of these animals around.

3. Purpose-built animal enclosures for Burwood Bird & Animal Hospital.

Burwood bird and Animal Hospital offers modern, professional and compassionate health care for a variety of animal, including dogs, cats, birds and more. They aim to make pets feel at ease with a caring and gentle approach to treatment and consultations. The clinic has been an integral part of the community throughout its illustrious 30-year history, and have helped thousands of animals over the years.

PN Industries is proud to have assisted Burwood Bird and Animal Hospital with specialised temperature controlled incubators.
